Nope!! Originally Ford ESP would cover it with a $100 deductible. However, today upon arrival at the shop, the tech informed it that after exchanging emails with Ford in order to proceed with Ford ESP approval, this repair will be covered under the emissions warranty up to 80k miles!!

Any time a repair is to be submitted for Ford ESP coverage, the tech needs to submit a list of parts and procedures, diagnostics etc. to get approval from Ford, before proceeding with the repair.

Thanks for the photos. It seems like it’s not that bad of job. I wonder how much time is saved by pulling the cab off. I’d rather have it left on.

I asked that same question and lifting the cab actually takes longer on my tech’s opinion. The workshop manual list both procedures (cab on or cab off) and it seems it is a personal preference.. there is plenty of room to work in the engine bay with cab on.. the radiator does not need to be removed.. lifting the cab just provides more room to remove and reinstall parts..
