I am having similar problem on my 2018 F 150, did not start until after dealer made 4 factory recall corrections. There was a engine heater cord replace, reprogram computer and a couple others. Dealer is acting like they have never heard such a thing and rain makes no sense to them. How was was your issue ever resolved? I need help getting a solution
Thank you

I had adaptive cruise control and forward collision sensor faults on a brand new 2020 Raptor. The dealer tried recalibrating the radar with no luck. It could be your was bumped or moved during one of the recalls? It's behind the plastic cover on the front bumper. I would suggest they try recalibrating it. My dealer finally replaced the bracket, which has solved my issue.

I just had the warning on my 2019 with 9800 miles. Pre-Collision and Adaptive Cruise Control says sensor is blocked.

So far all dealer has done is clear the code but the problem is intermittent.

Coincidentally the front bumper was hit by another truck that backed into me a few months ago. I'm thinking its related.f8a482c77eb210bdb39aa1023b02a141.jpg830c9c52a26137ba2a8bf140dfe4113c.jpg

It most likely is correlated.

The reason I say that is because when I was doing the ACC relocation, the sensor had something along the lines of “do not use if dropped” written on it so the sensor is probably very sensitive to any type of impact.

Thanks. I'll mention the warning to the service advisor.

I have a Blackvue camera and a mount for my Valentine One all located behind the rear view mirror. Ford tech is trying to say the add on equipment is to blame for sensor block. That's not possible since both the Blackvue camera and radar mount were installed in April 2019 when the truck only had 730 miles on it. The sensor problem just surfaced last week. The problem did not surface earlier since I haven't driven the truck much due to COVID. I drove it for the first time on a trip to central CA since the bumper accident.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but here is an update on my situation.

Truck still at dealership. Ford Eng has determined a windshield defroster corrosion fault as the culprit for the pre-collision warning message. Part won't arrive until next week.

Just learned windshield getting replaced due to heating element corroded near the sensor in windshield causing precollision sensor blocked message

it is sort of like direct tv in the rain. the receptors behind the bumper are not getting a good bounce back signal from their emitors.

Can happen in rain, snow, ice, and mud.

To me, this sounds like begging for a collision or wipeout. ACC inputs can be subtle but they can also be quite abrupt, like when someone lane changes in front of you with less than sufficient room, or someone lane changes out of your way after slowing you down significantly.

In either above scenario, the Rap will make quite abrupt changes.
maybe ‘weather’ mode changes the behavior, but even in ‘normal’ mode, throttle up after a LL hog getting out of the way in my experience has been brisk. Not wide open, but significant, depending on how slow the knuckle head in front of your as and how much room is left when they vacate. The opposite will make the Rap brake hard. These kinds of inputs are not conducive to a safe trip in foul weather.

agree...cruise is never good in moisture

Just an FYI, I have had the same issue off and on. Sometimes the Adaptive Cruise works, sometimes it doesn't. Getting the same errors you are. The dealership replaced the window originally and now have traced it back to the imaging sensor going bad. They have ordered the part but its on backorder. Hoping it fixes the problem.

It sounds like several of you have issues beyond what I experienced, but I want to mention it for others who may see this thread.

During my 4,000 mile road trip in August, my cruise control stopped working and I saw the message. I stopped at the next exit and cleaned the accumulated bugs from the black plastic rectangles on the front bumper.

When I got back on the highway it worked fine. I got in the habit of cleaning them each time I stopped for gas and it has never happened again. I think only the driver side matters, but I can't remember now for sure.

Just an FYI for anyone else who gets the message on a road trip or after driving through a lot of bugs.
