Anyone remember Triumph the insult dog on Conan years ago? The dog was interviewing Bon Jovi before a concert and commented on all amps stacked by the stage. He says to Bon Jovi, "You mean you are going to amplify that shit"?

Seems fitting. I wish mine was a tad quieter than stock.

If you are going to spend 2 large on exhaust, buy it from me. I will hook you up with the extra sound you want and need, bonus points - you will take a full month off of the lifespan of sasquatch77 kuan every time you start the truck or go WOT.

it’s really simple. I’ll buy and ship the AWE 2FG to you, it’s a simple install that even the Timmer can do, and it does actually sound pretty good.

You don’t need an exhaust on the Rap. it’s fine how it is and very stealthy, which has a benefit all its own. That said, you can shed probably 40+ pounds with the 2FG. it’s only about 8db louder cruising around, about 12db louder WFO.

Should be no warranty issues. Ford Performance actually includes a separate warranty from the factory one in the event of an issue with either the exhaust itself or a vehicle issue attributed to the exhaust.

Correct. Ford Performance worked with Borla to develop the Ford Performance exhaust, so it's Ford specific but Borla is the supplier.

Any warranty issues with a better CAI?

That does sound nice.

I'm obviously in the minority, but I think it sounds fine stock. You just have to get it out of your head that it needs to/should sound like a V8. I like the V8 sound, but I also think a lot of other engines sound good too. A wailing 1000cc sport bike sounds bad ass, I think my air-cooled 911 sounded awesome, a wound out 125cc 2 stroke sounds good to my ears, I loved my 300 hp outboard when it was maxed out on a tunnel hull that I had. My one bike had a 650cc single cylinder, I thought that sounded amazing with the right open exhaust.

The Raptor sounds like a turbo V6, which I think is fine. I don't expect it to sound like something else, just like I didn't expect my 911 to sound like a V8. I think it's fine that it has a pretty unique sound when I blast by someone. :pimp:

Well said. As a motorsports enthusiast, I appreciate the unique sounds that the vast majority of engines provide.

Pre-COVID, I’ve had the opportunity to attend F1, Indy, NASCAR, Moto GP, Superbike, and Daytona Bike Week. I thought they all sounded great. I was a bit partial to the spine tingling high pitched wail of an F1 car—wow! Hopefully Ferrari or Mercedes don’t attempt to create a V8 rumble in those cars, lol.

I'm surprised so many in here agree with me. All I ever see is exhaust posts from guys complaining about the exhaust sound. I'm driving around thinking that it sounds good when I crank on it and I like that it's quiet when I'm just tooling along. I DO LOVE V8's, my one boat had a 502 with 4" straight exhaust going out through the transom and it made me smile every time I started it with a real loud bark. But like you said, I think many other engines sound good too.

Leave the exhaust alone, every Raptor I've ever heard with an aftermarket exhaust sounds like a Tijuana taxi.

Our town is full of Mustangs with the most obnoxious sounding exhausts that could be made. I often wonder - what in the world does their girlfriend or wife think of that?

Your wife is highly educated, you both love Porsche (I've never heard a bad sounding Porsche), I know you won't settle for all the crap that is mostly put there. Exhausts I mean.

My wife is always complaining about the terrrrrrible sounding exhausts in our town.
But then our town's idea of lowering your car or truck just means heating your springs with a torch until they sag to where you want them.
