Doesn't Feel right????
You must mean doesn't Sound right. It does sound like shit, but there's no lack in performance.
Driver feel??? This is supposed to be an Off Road truck not a pavement princess. Take it off road and see how it feels.
My other car is a GT350, so I know what performance is. This thing is plenty quick, just sounds like ass. Again, this is just my opinion.
Would I like to see a high output V8, hell yeah, but Im not paying 100K for a truck
you do realize i have put more offroad miles than most people here. i have no problem with the gen 2. it drove fine. but over the course of many years in racing school, rally, drift, etc.... you get a feel for what you like. the gen 2 wasnt that for me. i said it was personal preference and never said anything about the performance of the truck.

That's the beauty of having a large choice of trucks and cars. We can all find something we like. Not every truck is for everybody.

Ya but you're into Suburus and they sound even worse.

THIS. my previous outhouse XT was good for a 13.9 quarter mile at MIR, bone stock. But, I didn’t touch the exhaust because they sound like @ss.

No I think he could have a point. Prior to the Jenny, what other serious off road truck campaigned a v6TT? If you wanted power, you had a v8, that’s what was available. Ford took the experience of the Gen1 and improved everything but Jenny does have the feel of a ‘parts bin’ special. <-- there is nothing wrong with this.

The Lightning was a ‘parts bin’ truck. A lot of stuff they used were off the shelf components - brakes I think from the super duty, etc. It was a great truck. The stereo sucked, but at least they didn’t charge that much for it. There’s a lot of parts bin in the Rap, but it feels more unified to me.

Ford took the Rap in a different direction, but the truck line was already headed that way. I warmed up to the truck quickly but hey, if you don’t like it, more Rap for the rest of us.

there is one thing i disagree with you about the gen 2. while its got new tech and better performance, it lacks one thing that the gen 1 has. driver feeling. the gen 2 didnt feel right as a performance truck to me. i dont know why. bu its all personal preference. im not argueing about the performance side of it all. just how it feels when driving.

Respectfully, I must disagree (IMO).

Having driven both extensively, to me the Gen 2 is a massive improvement on driving "feel". All new high strength frame, electronic steering gear (EPAS), High Output EcoBoost, 10R transmission, lightweight body, upgraded suspension.

As you said, to each his own of course.

im more of just a motor, little power steering and brakes. everything else doesnt matter to me. i like simple. my rally and drift cars were that way l. i just feel the technology side of things interferes with the driving side of things.

Was filling up my truck with 32 gallons of 87 for $1.62 today.

Jenny across the street waiting to turn. I've seen that truck before. Bright blue Gen 2 with brighter orange bead lock rings and giant orange bedside Raptor graphics. Very attention grabbing. It farted it's way out onto the street as it turned and I just had to laugh at the sound it made.

Come on Ford. End the purgatory.

Lot of guys at work have them in the parking lot and I must say it looks meaner than it sounds and always reminds me of this clip
