Glad to hear you're impressed so far with the FE3s! Like I mentioned, we are AMPed on these. Like very stoked. We recognized it was time too, so we tried to really knock it out of the park with these.

About Brad getting some - yes, he's already got a set! As well as about 15 other folks that are KC Ambassadors.

FE4?! Huh? Who told you?! TELL ME! Shhh..... I've said too much.

BTW -- thanks for watching the shop tour, that was me! We'll do a new one once the WiFi in production is up and running again.

Well, I believe the FE4 will raise some serious attention. Like the FE3 but much more. I am guessed the FE4 will be near 50-55 watt per light and WELL in excess of 2,000’ distance (all spot). Damn. Those KC ambassadors are going to luck out! Lol

Hopefully Trailrecon, and the other ambassadors, get some quality footage up! I will be sure to leave a supportive comment.

We’re excited to see the release of the new Flex Era 3 as well!

By no means are we attempting to thread jack this post. Your question about the XHP70 excites us so I figured some feedback will benefit enthusiasts looking for the perfect lighting solution. When the XHP70 was first released we thoroughly evaluated this LED with our existing reflectors, prototype optics and optical software programs. While the specifications are impressive, the large die size making this an excellent LED for “immediate nearfield illumination similar to a street lamp”. We found as a forward projection LED the die size creates too much near field intensity that washes out terrain. We commonly like to reference HIDs when talking about overall performance. For example, 4”, 6”, and 8” HID’s all produce the same wattage and lumen count yet the performance varied dramatically. That’s due to the overall reflector size and depth. The same holds true when talking about LED. The reflector size is equally as important as the LED when looking for performance forward projection lighting solutions.

Same... we're curious to see it. We've used the XHP70 in our headlight bulbs for years. It's a VERY bright LED diode but... that also produces a LOT more heat, which can burn the bulb out if it's not cooled down. This was a problem with headlight housings we found. So I'm curious to see if the bulb can hold up in an aluminum (or whatever material they use) housing without any active cooling.

I have some of the original KC Flex lights that I purchased in Nov & Dec 2015. I have six of the dual pod lights, four spread pattern with amber lens shields and two spots with red rings. I used the wiring harnesses that came with the lights except for the switch portion (not needed Raptor has upfitter switches). The quality of the lights and kits was excellent and these lights have never let me down to this day.

Well we were lucky enough to get our hands on a few sets early! Got these installed on our shop van and they're badass. The amber backlighting looks killer and the optional colored trim rings really adds a nice touch of customization. We'll be swapping the gold trim out for red!

Hopefully get some night shots here soon.

I’m wondering if there are any more thoughts on the KC Flex Era 3 Lights? I’m thinking about a Headache Rack and these lights would be a good option for rear facing lights because of the size.

I have been following the light. Seems like the initial hype has kinda died down. At least from me. I think once the Flex Era 4 lands, then people will be talking again. The triangle look is a tad odd.

One thing that speaks to me is the amber backlight. It is nice to have a lighting feature you can use all the time. The back light is great for that. Helps justify the $$$$$ on lighting.

Any who, this guy just put out a video. Lights look great. He just talks to damn much lol.

For the money and for size considerations, we'd recommend the Baja Designs S1's. At nearly 2375 lumens each with an overall size of 2"x2"x2" and a price tag of under $200 for a pair, might be a better option.

Is there anything with amber backlighting that will fit in the small corner slot of a bezel kit? I bought this past summer and went with KC Flex with an amber cover. Curious if there's anything better now.
