I know Enkei and Volk wheels were really great for SCCA tracks days due to their weight savings. How would or do these wheels hold up in a air'd down situations and going through say whoops at speed as well as maybe trail and rock climbing? Does the weight savings effect the overall strength of the wheel? I'm also concerned about them getting snow packed too. I've also noticed the sea of Methods and l'm looking to change things up...Nice choice all .

I had Volk and Work on my Tacomas which have seen few miles in different terrain.

Speaking to Volk, thats a fully forged wheel surpassing JWL / JWL-T Standards. Knowing Rays’ QC and standards - It’d definitely be one of the strongest.

As for Enkei, load rating is up there and I’d imagine for a motorsport company - they wouldn’t compromise on strength. Having a light weight wheel (in theory) can seem weaker, but taking a look at construction and what testing / manufacturing QC is also what I considered.

What ceramic coating product did you use for your wheels?
I coated mine with Turtle Wax Ice seal n shine. It's my go to product all over the truck. So far it's done a good job repelling brake dust and grime that was a constant battle with the stock beadlocks.

Haven't had a chance to wheel with them yet. Through Enkei's website they claim:

'All Enkei wheels are engineered to pass rigorous testing. In fact, Enkei established its own test standard called “Spec-E,” which is tougher than JWL requirements. Enkei’s Spec-E test setting requires a higher drop point in the impact test and 20% more cycles for the rotary bending fatigue and dynamic radial fatigue tests than JWL standards. The Spec-E represents Enkei’s confidence in its technology and quality of Enkei wheels.

I'm not in any rush to jump the truck so for my use they're fine. I'd also have faith that when or if I have any problems with them that Enkei would back their product.
