Old thread, I see, but what the hell wound up happening?

Small claims court - maybe Judge Judy will grab this case.
You can sue for up to $5k in Small Claims court and they cannot bring any lawyers, but neither can you.

Untrue. Actually the opposite. An individual bringing suit in small claims court in NY can bring a lawyer or not. A corporation must bring a lawyer, the idea being it cost them to do so.

So sorry WFO. I don't know what I would do.

may be way too late but I know exactly what I would do or would have done. I would have taken the truck to a different dealer and traded it in. Whatever few grand, even 10 grand, I would have lost would have gotten me a brand new truck. My satisfaction and happiness is way more important than the stress this would cause.

I recently had my rear wheel wells sprayed at a Line-X dealer. I was going to have the undercarriage done at another time. Seeing that, no way in hell will I do that. Even if they know what they are doing, nope. Not worth the risk.

My truck was the same way but it wasn’t done at the dealer. I probably had worst than you did. I end up cleaning the car by my self. Lesson learn. No more undercoating

Sorry, I never gave an update. Dealer never stood behind their mess. They did do a half ass job of stripping the undercoating off. It was a learning experience, don’t ever buy or let the dealer do anything but warranty work. I will NEVER give NYE Ford a penny of my hard earned cash!!! After this bad experience I went a bit crazy on modification’s. It’s been a great truck!

Good! I'm glad you're enjoying the truck. I personally don't let the dealer do anything besides warranty work and oil changes. Oil changes just in case something happens, I don't want them accusing me of something. Otherwise, only specialty shops to do the work.

I recommend the fumoto drain valve, you only have to remove 3 bolts on a small access panel to put a 3/8” hose if I remember correctly. I have been using Amsoil synthetic with 3,000 mile intervals, knock on wood no cam phaser issues. I don’t trust anyone to change to oil either!!!
