I’m planning to do a major road trip next summer from CO ending near the Arctic Ocean in Alaska. My plan has been to have a removable brush guard fabricated for an ADD front bumper, possibly tying in to the shackle mounts plus a few extra points. Part of the problem is at one point, you’re about 500 miles north of any repair shop so protecting the vital parts is a must. I agree with the other posters, I’ve yet to see any good looking bull bar that provides sufficient protection.

It’s all in perspective. Ya see, I’m a physician, and when I heard he had 4500 moles, I was like “get to the Dermatologist as fast as you can” (but by all means, avoid the ungulates along the way...).

Sorry to hear that. A deer hit me in the right front door, After running through a 500 acre open field at 5:00am. That cost me deductible $$$ right before Christmas. I certainly feel your pain.

These things must be deer magnets. I hit a yearling myself a couple of years ago on a back hwy here in WA. Needed the bumper straightened, new fender flare and headlight assembly on the drivers' side. I do agree with the others, haven't found an aftermarket bumper that really thrills me in the looks department.

That sounds like an awesome trip, TurboT. I'm planning that one myself in a few years after I cut my work hours, or retire altogether. If you need an overnight billet in Washington, let me know!

OP- find a good body shop and they will have her up and running in no time. I just went through this before leaving for JRTC and it cost my insurance company 11+k. Bumpers were never at the top of my priority list as much as performance (GT-ed STG2 E50) but yeah I've been on a hunt for some good protection up front and have been left empty handed. GL with your repairs

I hit a deer last year. Fortunately he ducked right before I hit him. Was just like going over a speed bump. No damage (at least not to the Raptor). :)
