Battery replacement recommendations

I recommend NAPA Legends which are manufactured by Deka. Have had great success with this battery in a fleet environment as well as my own personal use.

So my Optima Yellow top (8012-021 D34) is not doing so good after three hard years so I'm looking at a new battery. I was going to go with the same one however I see that the Diehard Platinum is back...

After reading the 22 pages here the Odyssey 65-PC1750T is also popular.

The Odyssey is a lot more heavy than the Diehard... 58lbs vs 45lbs.

Whatever I get will see a lot of off-road abuse so that is what I want to focus on when it comes to the better battery.

Diehard or Odyssey?

I have had the Odyssey for three years with no issues. Direct swap for the original battery. More weight means more lead which means more reserve capacity. I would purchase again.

Anybody try the Everready AGM Costco battery?

I always look for the best warranty/CCA.

Other than reserve capacity or cold cranking amps, the Odyssey or Diehard should perform and last about the same if they’re both AGM batteries. I have the Odyssey and have run it for maybe five years now with no issues.

Believe it or not, I'm still on my factory battery from 2012! Works great.

My factory battery lasted until Aug 2020, my Raptor is from year 2013 but only have 23,000 miles. I bought the same Motorcraft battery again. BTW, I keep the battery on a Battery Tender Plus on the battery since day one when I bought my Raptor on Dec 2012.
