37. Fortunate to have a good job and live in the affordable Midwest. Always wanted a muscle car but have never been willing to give up owning a truck and wrangler to make it happen. Last year I tried to pitch the idea of a beater truck, wrangler, and a SRT Challenger. Wife vetoed the Challenger on the grounds that it didn’t make much sense to stuff two kids into a cramped back seat of a sports car daily. So we bought our raptor in September of last year. Obviously I’m enamored with it, and the wife and kids love it too. Wife calls it the family performance vehicle.

Recently I’ve been thrilled that we didn’t try to make due with the challenger As kiddo #3 is on the way. Thanks to that “3 car seat capable” back bench we’ll be keeping the Raptor.

It's shocking how much room 3 car seats take up! I had 3 in them at once 13 years back when we fostered and adopted 2 sisters and their brother. 4 weeks, 2, & 4 years old! Great fun, but the car seats drove us insane. I was so glad when the oldest graduated to a booster seat. My dad got to just throw us in the back of the Rambler station wagon.

You know you're old when the Dr asks for a stool and ***** sample and you hand him your underwear.
The only car seats we had when we were kids were the ones that came with the car.

You guys in your 20s and early 30s with a 70k+ vehicle and no house. Wtf lol

Being completely rational about it, there's an argument that saving money is a waste today. We're rapidly socializing, and those savings will be shared up among those who didn't save in the spirit of "fairness". This will most likely be done by printing money rather than taking the savings directly, which ****** people off. Either way, savings will most likely become worthless. When that happens, everyone save the politicians will be too poor to afford nice things. "Forget about the check, we'll get hell to pay." suddenly looks like a reasonable approach. I'm glad I'm old.
