Trader! Trader! Someone get a rope! LOL!

I know the feeling about working on your vehicle. Installed my rebuilt shocks with new coil springs in the front. Wore me out! LOL!
Getting too old for this at 63.

Congrats on your new Raptor, hope you enjoy it.

I know you've probably posted this info 1000x but I love your light setup. What are the details for front bumper lights?!

The guys from Specialty Performance Parts hooked me up. Love the round lights which fill in the space better and love the amber backlighting which works well with the amber running lights. They are plenty bright. Went with spots medially and in mid and lateral positions I have driving lights. Make my high beams look puny. They have pretty good videos and instructions for install and are there if you have questions. Very good customer service.

Planning on doing these for the backup lights. These have red backlighting for obvious reasons. Should be able to get a Raptor Forum discount. Just go to the lighting section and look for a thread with the vendor and ask.

Ignorance is bliss. That warranty is only as good as Ford's willingness and ability to stand behind it. Had I taken mine to an independent shop, they would have put it back together with maybe some RTV around the rim of the seal when we found out that you couldn't get parts. I could have driven it while we waited. I'd have been happy to pay them for their labor. Instead, because it's under warranty and because of how Ford reimburses dealers for warranty work, the dealer has no incentive to spend an extra minute on it, so taking it apart and putting it back together twice was never on the table. Easier to let me cool my heels for months. My big fear now is that I'll finally get it fixed and then something else will go wrong that will require a back ordered part. Probably after my one year anniversary when the Lemon Law no longer gives me any leverage but it's still under warranty. So yes, the warranty will limit your out of pocket expense. It won't assure that you have a truck to drive. Now I've got an extended warranty and I worry. Depending on what the next failure is, I may try to fix it myself or I may take it to an independent shop instead of risking a warranty repair at the dealer. Is that *****, or what?

I have had very good luck with the extended warranty coverage from ford over the years. I have had it on cars that are not cheap to fix '03 cobra, shelby gt350, and now the raptor. The amount of money, time and parts Ford spent to to fix some hard to diagnose issues over the years was much more than I would have been willing to pay for had I not had it. FWIW, ford extended warranties are the only ones I buy.

congrats, I love mine. Nice to be able to tow a travel trailer with the family & unhook and go off-roading in one vehicle.
