Haven’t had any problems In almost a year with mine on auto fold. Holds the mirror position just fine too. Under warranty so I’m going to use the feature.

My wife has a 2018 Expedition. It is set to auto-fold when locked and manually folded every time she enters our garage. I would guess it’s the same mechanism on the F-150/Raptor. We’re in California so we may be less likely to get some of the corrosion others do. My guess is they’re built to handle this regularly, even though, for some reason, Ford doesn’t offer it as an option.

Hey OP,

So I'd recommend against it. I enabled that via forescan 18 months (dailying it for 18 months with it enabled) ago on my 2019 Raptor and they started squeaking and not sounding too good after that many open and closes. Also they loosened up some as well.

We just think their not designed for that many open/close cycles. For what it's worth, I just bought a 2020 and did all the forescan stuff last night. I did not do the mirrors this time around.

YMMV
Hi

No. I have none of that. I was just wondering what else can be changed for the better. I live in the city, so the power fold mirrors sound great..lol
