We put the Retrax cover on my wife’s ZR2 and she loves it. I went simple for the Raptor and got a Truxedo LoPro roll up cover. I’ve always had Truxedo’s on my trucks, and I really like them.

Had Tuxedo on my 2011 Lariat SCREW. Really liked it. But it was showing its age and both tie down hooks and loop parts had long broke. In the market for MX4.

I have a super flush and easy to flip back or just take off Lomax cover. It’s water tight and has a matte rough finish. Grayish/black color.

I second the Lomax cover. Very low profile and easy to install & operate. You would need a crowbar to open it with the tailgate is locked.

I don't mean lifting and unlocking and relatching the cover, though that's not easy as I do have the locks adjusted tight. I do like the cover. As I think I said, this is the 3rd or 4th cover I've owned, first Diamondback, and it is by far the most rugged, probably the best looking, I'm sure most waterproof and break-in proof of any cover I've had or possibly any on the market.

I am probably also jumping to conclusions in my complaints as I've only had it a week. I was waiting for the better, more, shall we say, puffy weather stripping I ordered from Amazon for the bulkhead. I installed the cover, got the weather stripping few days later, and hopped in the cab side with the top up. I felt like I was in a medieval torture chamber as the top does not open far on that side due to that metal bar which I guess protects it from flying back and off on the highway. That's what initially soured me on access.

Also, I guess I could not really reach into that part of the bed no matter what cover I had on without standing on a platform.

I opted for a weatherguard toolbox. It keeps my stuff better organized.
I'm constantly tossing crap in the bed and have my rod holders attached to the toolbox.
Tonneau covers look nice on the truck, but it's just impractical for me.
I do like the way your's looks

I wish I could've have kept the tool box only (with rack setup) like I had on my last truck. 6yrs, and I never really ran into a cargo issue I couldn't handle (Silverado 1500/Crew/ShortBed). Becoming a "family man" with a dog instantly required a secure and weatherproof option to cram whatever it is into every useable inch of the bed.

Weather Guard makes a great box, in a variety of sizes/styles, I'd said they are the "Diamond Back" of tool boxes (i.e. Industry Standard). +1 point to cam-locker for the cool cargo rail on the lid option.

I'm happy with my BAK MX-4 so far. It's the first cover I've had though. The one thing I was surprised with, and hadn't thought about, was how freaking hot it gets under there on those days when it's really hot and humid, with bright sun.

I drove a little over 10 minutes from my place to grab a pizza a few days after I first put it on. When I picked up the pizza, I thought why not put it in the back and use that space? I popped it in a zippered insulated bag, put it in the back and drove home. When I got home, even the OUTSIDE of the bag was hot as hell! I swear the pizza was hotter when I got home! That day it was 97, with about 85% humidity, and bright clear sun. I'm glad I learned that way instead of putting something back there that got destroyed from the heat.

The BAK does get hot, for sure. I would assume they all do. I do keep a lot of work items in the bed all the time, even 1 piece of expensive electronics for measuring foundations, cans of wasp killer, never had any problems. I did notice that a 65qt yeti cooler will destroy 20 lbs of ice in a day under the BAK during the summer. I need to remember to hit the bed with the thermometer one of these days.

@MDJAK , I took a long hard look at the Diamondback. In the end the added cost of being able to store something on top just didn't make much sense. They do look cool though.
