Sometimes, some things are better left unsaid.

Just a tip.

I wasn't trying to be a smart ass as I build my own computers and a lot of folks forget to check or verify if their e-mail was sent or links work as they intended etc.

Sorry you took it that way.

That's specifically why I stated just a tip so you wouldn't take as a smartallec remark but I suppose that's exactly what got under your skin.

Now you on the other hand you came back with "Just a tip" to be a smart ass on purpose.

No problem, maybe you're just having a bad day, don't sweat the small stuff.

Just a tip!

LOL! J/k

Are the roof sizes pretty much the same between Gen1 and Gen2? Prinsu doesn't list any specific years on their site. I would be interested in this set up and light mount and a place to carry kayaks.

What setup is this? I've got the same cover and run the Yakima Rack, wondering if I fit a pair or cross bars and a smaller basket between the 2 set of uprights.

That's exactly what I'm going to do. That set up with the tall (24") towers so I can carry my kayaks above, basket in the middle and covered under the tonneau.

New roof rack from Gobi. No drill installation is also nice feature.

I really like that feature but one would have to forgo rain guards which I have and like.

Does it have a place to mount lights on its side?

But I could probably give up the rain guards for non drill roof rack mount.

Just looked at their website, I really like that you can purchase one for an open sunroof and purchase an insert.

How's the wind noise?

The Gobi wind deflector does a good job to minimize wind noise. There will still be some, but it's minimal. While it does not have specific mounting points for side lights, there's plenty of room to attach some universal clamp style mounts and secure a light too.

We're a Gobi dealer and have been for years. Let us know if you'd like a quote!

Why would this rack interfere with rain guards? My AVS one's mount up to the top of the door sill with 3M double sided tape and it doesn't look like they would touch the mounting points at all.

Sweet, thanks. Was thinking the mounts would interfere with the rain guards. Ithink I have AVS also.

I like that rack a lot more now.
