Look at the custom bracket svp made. It has great adjustability to move lights forward and back and side to side. Much better than that boxy one.

I like the aesthetic of that finished look on the ORA bracket, but I’m not sure what I’ll end up going with. I have two pairs of Rigid lights new in boxes (D2 and SAE fog), but I like the Baja Designs better. I’ve been reading about lights for the past few hours.

NY with the front plate also. I ordered my @Swarfworks plate bracket the day the truck showed up. The thing is rock solid. My main goal was to not block the factory intercooler location. I did come across your choice as well, but opted for the Swarf after reading reviews and seeing his other offerings.

I’ve had both. I always wanted to like BD (why do I always type BJ and have to correct it?) better than any other light. Very high quality in almost every way. But the brackets rust quickly the screws rust quickly, so much so I had to send a pair back as I could not remove he screws from the sides. Customer service was awesome and they fixed it and changed out the shells of the lights.

I then bought the small light bar by BD for the bottom grill. Liked it. The anodizing wore off quickly and went from black to faded black. It’s happened to others. That wasn’t a big deal to me but I mention it. I know they swapped out bars for people who complained of that. Both my 17 and my 19 Raptor had BD pocket lights, the one kit below the most expensive. They were good, not amazing.

Then out in Tooele during Raptor Assault my wife took my Raptor while I was in the program and went to the chief instructor’s place where they installed the custom bar he made for all the Raptors there along with a 20” bar by Rigid. I have zero ax to grind and you can’t go wrong with either. And when it comes to the BD LP 4, 6 and 9, absolute awesome lights and form factor. But this Rigid bar was incredible. The light was white, not harsh on your eyes mind you, but white. The BD lights looked yellow in comparison, all of them.


When it comes to pocket lights in bumper, placement and aim is important. I’ve studied brackets and the one, through trial and error, John Trischler, a member here, has fabricated, is special.

Not today, but I've been busy the last few weeks thanks to the guys at @OffroadAlliance.com - Really can't say enough about Chris and the rest of the crew over there. Had my truck 2 months and 99% of my aftermarket support has been thru them.

Also, FRF has been an invaluable resource. Thanks to all the helpful members!

Retrax Pro XR - does exactly what I needed it to, fit and finish was great and the solo install wasn't too bad. I do think I'm going to order a 3rd set of clamps to secure the rails to the bed.

Yakima Overhaul HD (RhinoRack Ski/Rod Racks) - Really nice set of uprights & cross-bars. The welds and build quality seem excellent. I'm tempted to had the cross supports but don't wait to ruin my line sight out the rear window. The adjustability is a really nice feature, along with all the security hardware.

BPD Dual NMO Mount w/ BD Ambers - I didn't need this, but after seeing it on installed on a truck on instagram, I really liked the look. The hardest part of this install is fishing the 2 x PL259 connectors thru the headliner. I was especially concerned with inducing rattles or interfering with the sunroof shade. I ran each Baja Design amber on a dedicated run. Down the line I plane to run these as strobes for work sites but will retain the "steady burn option". Build quality is terrific and the install of the bracket itself isn't bad at all (**edit - my OCD required me to re-seat the clip that holds the tail light harness to the roof. That in itself took me close to 45mins with a set of picks.) You do have to drill 2 holes into the cab body, they'll never be seen but I still hit them with a little bit of paint just in case.

WeBoost Fleet Cell Booster - I did a considerable amount of research on this unit. It will not create signal out of thin air. I spend a decent amount of time on the beach with the truck where cell phone service can be pretty spotty. My goal with this was to help bridge the gap and give me that extra bar when I need messages to go thru or for a stable call. I have the amp mounted under the passenger seat. The unit is wired direct to the battery with a switch hidden in the passenger kick panel. The "inside antenna" I snaked up to my Built Right panel where I also have my dedicated USB cable. I This allows me to have the truck completely off with the booster on. I leave my phone in the cradle and then use my apple watch while I fish. I'm still playing around with different antennas but it does seems to be helping. Especially from within the truck when sending photos/emails or using Facetime.

It is not a dumb mod fool. I can see the same with or with out the head lights tinted. Get your facts straight.

I also added a Weboost cell phone booster. I did a ton of research and ended up with this. I was limited by garage door height and this antenna is just a little bit taller than the one on the roof.

The antenna on the front of the roof with a magnetic sticker. Internal antenna is stuck on the bottom of the center console and the booster under the passenger seat. I also wired it to upfitter switch 4. The worst part was fishing the antenna wire through the existing hole in the firewall with other wires just behind the pedals.

huh? I drove mine for the first time today in the desert with 37's, no effen way in the world I would go back to 35's. And it looks wayyyy better.
What I said. Go run your truck hard and see what happens. Id rather not worry about it. But if it works for you then good.

Like I said I'll probably run 37s in the future but I honestly don't care for 37s on stock wheels with stock fenders, etc.

I added some Offroad Alliance Triple Bezel Baja Designs Pro lights to the bumper. The kit is really nice. Pressing the lights up against the bezel helps align them. The spacers provided helped but didn't line up like I had expected/hoped. I had to use several washers to allow the lights to sit at the correct height. The lights are amazingly bright. I highly recommend them. Tomorrow I'll need to finish taping things up and installing the rock guards behind the lights in the wheel wells.
