Okay, fu-k, the drivers side has a line from my aftermarket reservoir going into the condenser coil, wtf., it must be separated like Noah said. Well, it has to be.

Another shot. These are the two “high presser” supply lines to the rack. They go into that condenser? Or there is a block off plate? Wtf would ford do this and not just run straight out of the reservoir?

They must use just a small portion of that condenser to cool the rack, I always thought it was the smaller cooler in the front of the radiator that was for the power steering, or is that the oil cooler.

So, I'm guessing you can just bypass the lines into your new cooler, that would be a much better improvement. I never had an issue with my power steering after having my rpg res installed.

So I pulled the hoses cause I’m curious ....

Um yes the top two rails of the condenser is actually a cooler for the ps fluid

I was able to feed a wire through the top inlet all the way to the exact length of the condenser.

Also notice the top two rails are thicker than the rest....

yea, the top 2 coils of the condenser are the stock cooler. many bypass it to add a larger cooler (myself included). i only did mine cause the P/S portion of the condenser started to leak but didn't want to buy a whole condenser.

Just blows my mind all this talk about “adding” a ps cooler and there was one there the whole time.

Either way if the pumps last longer with the additional cooler than it’s not like the factory one is keeping up, but still just really surprised.
