do you have link for that seal? I’m confused. Did you use both what came with cover and what you got from Amazon?

I just got these from Summit Racing. Incredibly fast shipping.

what torque rating?View attachment 149206

good choice brother you're already putting the koolaid down, gorilla lugs marginally better than OEM....Mcgards? get what you pay for, no rust

Funny you should mention rust. On my 19 which I just traded, I had rust develop on the edges of the brake calipers. I’ve of course seen rust on rotors which goes away after brake application but never on rotors. Hope that doesn’t occur again.

Oh btw, is it acceptable to remove and replace one lug nut at a time without jacking truck up? That’s how I did it the last time.

I think that would be fine, just do them in a cross pattern and torque all again to 150 ft/lb when finished.

This is the double seal I put the on the bulkhead: 5a2a35f27d26da0d2d1b8eb6df8c0b8a.jpg

Because of the bed rails, the bulkhead sits lower than the bed rails, so there are openings for water and debris to get in there. By running the double seals, nothing will get in there.

You can see the difference of the two seals here (Amazon on the left and DB on the right): 6dcbee83916c2be676805ed965f29933.jpg

Ok I’m a bit dense. So you just doubled up on the one you got from amazon, correct? I ordered it.

Yes sir, I ran two strips of that material. I used the left over material for areas around my tailgate.

Once you get the cover installed, you will see what I am talking about in reference to the bulkhead and cover not sitting fully flush.

I keep reading "tune tune tune."

How reliable are tunes as far as blowing up the engine? It obviously will void warranty. Do people, I guess brave people, put a tune on a new truck? And how many tuners are there? How much are they in general? How much hp do they add?j

Is any one tune better than another?

I haven’t tuned my 19 yet but I had the Whipple stage 1 on my 17 from 6k to 32k when I traded it in and never had a issues with it. It is also night and day performance wise and in my book a must do whether it’s MPT or Goose or Ora550 etc.

So I appreciate that. But knowing nothing about it, I think a whipple is a supercharger?

what us MPT, etc?
