I found the same thing when I put my rear door panel back on. It goes in the rear door cup holder for bouncing around now

Those look like they cover a bolt somewhere so hands dint get torn up if reaching in. Have had them on various vehicles and rzr

They also fit really well in your nose for those late night drives home after taco bell
