Small item .. but what about the fan for the IC? Raptors have fans for the IC and F150s do not. My point is that there are prob a few small things you are not accounting for and thus most likely you will run into issues.
thanks for that tip, im not doing it personally just trying to see if someone had done this swap and knows first hand of all the changes between the two to help a buddy out , since he has a friend that has a raptor motor for a really cheap price.

Pretty sure he can also source a used Raptor intercooler and fan setup on ebay pretty cheap too. Someone was selling one on my local craigslist for about $150-200 a couple weeks ago

I agree but the problem comes when you try to plug the fan in. Where do you plug it into? Again, small issues that could add up.

ye i agree i will point those things out to him, just curious what all the items would be that would not work with it, im sure he can get the fans and intercooler from the raptor to and make it fit in there if that would be the only item that is a bit different.

Should be possible. A while back, we used some internal-only tools to flash a Raptor ECU ROM onto an '18 3.5 EB F150 to do some testing for parts development. Obviously it didn't run right because boost control is way off, plus various different physical parts on the engine, compression differences, etc, but we were able to get the data that we needed AND the truck ran. If your friend was to install a Raptor/'19+ Limited 3.5HO engine in the truck, and then was able to get the Raptor or Limited ROM flashed to the ECU, then the swap should work. Would probably want to do the Limited ROM due to differences with the Raptor's drive mode switching button configuration, although that's just a suspicion of mine and the Raptor ROM may work. Don't have an idea of whether or not the non-HO wiring harness would be 100% plug and play with the HO engine. Shouldn't have any issues running without the IC fans though.

A friend of mine has a 2018 Ford f150 platinum with the 3.5 eco boost, and since he needs to replace his engine he's wondering what the difference would be with the raptor high output engine compared to his, and if it Will work fine if he got a used raptor engine to put in it instead. Anyone here know?

Why go this route with all the hassle and the possibility of the engine working or not without any issue.

Why not go with the same limited engine and do bolt on's to match the Raptor performance.
