Sprayed the frame and suspension bits with WoolWax. Been using Fluidfilm for the last few years with great results but heard this was more resistant to being washed off at highway speeds, thats my only gripe against FF. I do alot of highway driving and it gets blasted off the front suspension bits after a few months that needs a touchup.

If the WoolWax does the same thing I will try NHOU next year.

Used it to have a socially distanced meal off the I-5 while traveling between San Francisco and San Diego.

Not today but last Friday, got it a bit dirty again driving it up to the top of mountain.

Installed the KHC TQ arm on my 19. It was not to bad of an install but drilling the holes for the front mount sucked. I had already gone option 3 on my Icon rear springs and they alone fixed all of the unsettled movement in the rear and about 95% wheel hop in the dry but in the wet is was maybe only 75% better. The TQ arm has eliminated all the wheel hop dry or wet on road. I really think the TQ arm would be great for someone who wants to stay with the stock rear suspension and a worthy mod.

Thanks for info but I don’t understand- are you saying you would’ve/could’ve just went w/ TQ arm instead of icon leafs?

I get the idea behind the TQ arm but would think it’s more geared toward someone who is definitely going to be pushing the truck hard on & offroad a lot of the time & as a result would be modding up other parts of the truck/suspension

I mean you may as well toss the stock leafs too if you’re installing the TQ arm...you could probably get away w/ the leafs & warranty related work to tranny/diffs/TC/driveshaft/axles/IWE/bearings etc. but I’m guessing it’s like 99.9% chance any warranty issues on all that kinda gear would immediately be nullified if dealer sees that thing on the truck

I am saying that you can do just the TQ arm and most likely see a drastic difference in smooth traction on and off road. The TQ arm will benefit any type of driving and suspension set up. The Gen2 has a lot of torque and so the axle twists mostly because of the stock soft suspension. I personally did not like the feeling of the rear end even at cruising speeds, there was a back and forth sensation almost like engine surging. It was exaggerated on un even slab concrete. Although it is not a dramatic feeling its a personal thing that most will only notice now that I have brought it up.

I did not run the TQ arm with stock springs but I feel it would really help with that back and forth sensation. Its not going to fix the side to side jittery rear end but may help that a little bit with that, the springs make a huge difference with the side to side motion there by settling down the rear.

In stock form on the street in the rain you can get axle hop under light acceleration so I would not say its a mod only for those who are pushing the truck. My truck sees about 75% street use and I see the benefit of the TQ arm in normal driving stock springs or not. Lots of people never change a thing on these trucks and love it.

As for warranty issues they would have to prove that the TQ arm caused whatever issue that came up. If warranty is a concern then don't touch anything and run bone stock.

Eibachs in front and Icons or Deavers in the back make the truck feel firmer more like that European car feel and the TQ arm takes away that axle hop making the truck more to my liking while driving normal or sporty on and off road.

love the stance of your truck, what kind of wheels and tires do you have? any side shots?

Took it for a ride on the dunes, and then down to the beach for lunch and a long ride on the beach. Beautiful day.
