My truck in shop and dealer isn't giving me loaner. Options?

My truck went in on Tuesday. It's in pieces and the part is due in a couple of weeks. The dealer is putting me off about a loaner, saying that they need one to come in first. It sounds kinda sketchy to me. Does this sound right or are they pulling my weenie? Do I just need to beat on them? Any idea what's going on?

Maybe try Ford Customer Service?

Not sure what warranty stipulates, but I imagine time is the factor and two weeks for the part seems like it would trigger off a loaner.

That's one of the very very many reasons why I prefer luxury brands over American brands. The overall experience is completely different.

My Raptor was getting recalls done and was in the shop for a day no loaner and didn't even have the personnel to give me a ride back to my house

Took my wife's Audi Q8 in for regular oil change and check up , as I pulled up while one person got the information from my car the other person ask me if I wanted a coffee and how I liked it. Upon getting the coffee the service advisor let me know that it was going to be 2 hours for a checkup and asked me if I wanted a loaner Q8 or their demo RS5

I love my Raptor don't get me wrong and in my opinion it's the best bang for buck truck value for its capabilities but there's a reason why it is the only American vehicle that I own and it's things like this why I don't think that will change anytime soon

My dealer gives me a loaner if they have to keep it overnight. The last time I needed one they gave me brand new F150 sport.

Recommend getting your sales person involved and if that doesn't work take it up the chain.

Unless you purchased the Ford ESP, getting a loaner is entirely a dealer discretion sort of thing.

This is very true. With my Raptor, I only get a loaner because I purchased the ESP, and it only kicks in if it's warranty related work. I had two Lexus vehicles before this, no extended warranty and I got a loaner every time I took it in, even if it was for an oil change, and even when I was no longer in warranty.

You can call Ford Customer Service they often will get a Enterprise Rental Approved, this doesn't require the Ford Extended Warranty. It is a case by case basis. I have been approved on all major repairs on both an XLT and Lariat. The rate you can get a Rental is a great deal as well, Enterprise will drop car or pick you up at dealership. very smooth.... Don't get me wrong I wished Ford just did some of these things some how in my region most all Honda Dealerships have loaners for anything more than an oil change.

IMHO it is these little things that make a huge difference!

The first very important question to the OP is it in the shop for a warranty issue?
