jesus its got 4.10s what you supposed to do swap em for 4.56? 4.88s LOL - typically speaking the gears in that range are built for hardcore shit, way overbuilt for the stock power of a Raptor & probably big $$$ + you'd need to adjust tune/tranny etc. to compensate.....AND unless you wanna go to 2WD you're talking front & rear & I don't see that working out well w/ the bespoke transfer case in the Raptor.

How bout some 5.29's hahahhahhaha

Can a Raptor smoke all 4 wheels easily? No! Shorter gears would make a world of difference, yes you would have to re-programme the TCM but not much more. The transfer case is actually under less torque load with shorter gears not more.
Shorter gears will do much more that most the crap some people are suggesting to bolt on like CAI’s, intercoolers and exhausts.
The only other big game changer is a turbo.

If all you want to do is drag race, you can get shorter gears by going to smaller tires. You could even have another set for off road.

Everything you just said is a complete crock.

There are endless upgrades for the 3.5 EcoBoost engines; even with basic Intake/Downpipes/Tune these trucks are as fast as Supercharged Gen 1’s. Then there are turbo kits available if you’re after even more power than that. RMB Motorworks (@RMB_Ryan) has proven the immense capabilities of the 3.5 EcoBoost platform.

As for personal preference, I’ll take the massive MPG advantage over the V8 any day. I actually drive my truck and appreciate having the both the power and fuel economy of the EcoBoost.
I’d even go one further and would LOVE to have a TTv6 hybrid. That would be awesome.

Shorter axle ratios would only hinder these trucks, not make them faster. Raptors already have 4.10 axles and a 4.69 first gear; these trucks have an extremely short ratio to begin with and have no problem getting into the powerband in first gear. Any shorter gears would render first gear useless and would not allow enough load to build full boost.

Shorter gear ratios are not better unless the current ratio is not optimized for the vehicle. Not the case with a stock Raptor on 35’s. Not only that, but numerically higher hypoid gear sets increase parasitic losses.

I can’t believe people recommend a tuner and a pedal commander. Cobb’s accessport has that built in. Pedal commander is useless vaporware if you go for a Cobb tuner.
