I have found that the CVS system on this truck is pretty persnickety. Especially if you are tuned and/or have catch cans (I have both), it will throw CVS codes occasionally even though nothing is really wrong. I just clear them and move on.
The truck is stock. I did notice this morning when I looked the truck over (oil change was done yesterday) that that oil dip stick was not in. It was just loosely hanging out. Could that cause the check engine light code.

Not 100% sure, but probably. Get a reader to check the code.

Yes, that’s probably the cause.

Thanks for the info, I am going to order the Fumoto F107SX valve to simplify this process for next time.

Makes it easier for sure. The whole oil change process gets easier and faster as you complete more of them.

Good luck with the CEL.

No doubt. I made a mess the first time. Now I don’t get a drop on the mat.
Update, I just finished at the shop with the Raptor. There was no leaks from the oil filter or drain plug. I removed the skid plate and power washed it clean, as there was oil Spilt on the inside from when We did the oil change. I have learned that this truck makes a heck of a mess when removing the drain plug and oil filter. There was also oil in that small black plastic tray that sits under the oil filter. I have ordered the Fumoto now, and will install it next time. I took the opportunity to clean up the bottom of the engine.

As far as the CEL goes, I am thinking that is because the dip stick was not pushed into place properly and I drove it like that. I will drive it for a day or so and see if the ECU Senses that it is back where it needs to be...and turns the engine light off. Everything else was done by the book, Mobil 1 5w30 Full synthetic, 6 quarts, OEM filter. If the CEL engine light does not turn off in another day, I will bring it to the dealer and have it scanned.

Good to hear you got the underside all cleaned up. The first oil change is demoralizing and makes you feel like a rookie.

You’re more than welcome to use my OBD scanner to read the code and clear it. Going to the dealer is like going to the in-laws lol

Thanks for all the help. Are you in Toronto as well? That would be great.

Yes, I feel like a rookie lol...even know I own an 800 AWHP R35 GTR as well. Live and learn right. It was my buddy at the shop who forgot to push the dip stick back in. I gave him the gears in good fun about it.
