Figured I would create a separate thread to discuss all the options for RA Lodging. Went through several of the RA Threads and getting the idea that the hotel they recommend isn't great (mainly noise). leaning towards the Grand American Hotel in SLC. Any other recommendations? especially if the wife is coming and want's to do things? Is Park City and option or too far?

I stayed @ the Marriot Courtyard in close the SLC Airport.

Was only a 25 minute ride from the Raptor Assault course, and much cleaner hotel.

I stayed at the partnered Comfort Suites in Tooele. I did not notice any noise, or have any issue. If I were bringing family, I would have stayed in SLC or done Park City.

Park city the way to go IMO, especially bringing the wife. Make a trip out of it. Only about an easy hour drive. Much better places to stay and food. Lots to do as well.

Was thinking Park, but not sure about the drive there. Any recommendations on place to stay?

That’s where I stayed. Hotel was nice and clean but SLC is boring as ****. If the wife needs something to keep herself entertained while you’re at RA, park city is a better option.

I love The Grand America hotel (having family in SLC and staying there whenever I go) more then any of the nice (5star) hotels I’ve stayed in. I’m a bit of a hotel snob actually, so I’d always recommend it.

I’m heading to RA Aug 13 btw

Great. I'm about to pull the trigger on Grand America, have you stayed in one of their "View" rooms? Is it worth the extra $?

I'll be there August 6th and 7th.

Yeah, I’ve stayed with a view room. Not sure how much extra it was/is though. I say go for it. It’s a beautiful hotel, and the spa is really nice.

Nothing like working out in the morning followed by the steam room and cold shower for me. That’s how I’m planning to start my RA day.
