I like the MPT but just posted on the other thread issues I have had with my MPT tune with N Gauge. Runs great but if you go into sport mode it misfires and goes into limp mode. MPT blamed spark plugs or coil packs but dealer found nothing going on and without tune sport mode works great. Kind of a bummer as I really liked the power from the tune but if you cant even run sport mode without the truck misfiring that is a problem.
Run a log and send it to them. You are the first person I have heard say that. I have zero issues with mine. What kind of fuel are you using?

I had this as well and switched to Cobb. No misfires yet with Cobb (stage1 and Stage2 w/ TCM)

This is definitely a "your truck" kind of problem. Could be crappy fuel, or a sensor problem, or it was near the temperature limit for spark advance and you poked it hard anyway. The truck has very robust self-protection limits and it will hit the limp mode real quick, especially with heat soak. I ran the MPT 93-PRX for ~30k miles and it was perfect. The Cobb OTS Stage2 93 tune makes more power, but there is nothing "wrong" with the MPT tune(s).

I've tuned vehicles (cars and bikes) into a solid performer with zero problems and driven/ridden it for thousands of miles. Then sell and the new owner immediately **** it up. You can't fix stupid and there is simply no limits to what stupid can do to **** something up.

@biturbomg what did you ever figure out with your MPT tune and Sport mode problems? Did you run any logs and send them to MPT? Just curious to see how it turned out...

Hate to resurrect this thread but im curious about the Cobb/goosetune. I have the MPT 93 -PRX with ngauge. There's definitely a difference in performance from stock but it's not a 'Holy $hit this is fast' kind of difference. Maybe I should send MPT a datalog and see if they can tweak the tune a little. You said the Cobb stage 2 adds more power. Is that dyno data or butt dyno data?

Neither. Its based on measurable facts with 2 sets of empirical data:

1) the amount of Boost and Load Actual displayed (Cobb is obviously higher).

2) The drag strip shows a best run of 13.7 @ 100 on the MPT tune and a best of 13.3 @ 102 on the Cobb tune. All with very good 93 octane fuel. Engine is all stock, including intake and exhaust.

That's the undeniable facts.

If you want even MORE, I think a custom E30 or E50 tune from GooseTuned will give some more.
