Please explain how a pedal commander eliminates turbo lag.......

.

If i understand it correctly, it makes it 'feel' like there is less turbo lag, by reworking the throttle input curve. laymans terms, you push the gas 1/4 down, the truck reacts like you punched it harder (1/2 pedal maybe), so the truck feels more alive and peppy....but it is basically just having you drive with a heavier foot.

Also a follow up from my transmission experience:

Yesterday I went into my system and did a KAM reset, as well as transmission adaptation reset. I then drove it easy for about 30 minutes or so. WOW what a difference! I will be honest, when I got the MPT tune I was basically driving the truck like I stole it - I must have taught the transmission that I wanted gears slammed EVERY time I drive. After the reset, it is absolutely silky smooth shifting when driving around in traffic, what an incredible night and day difference.

So I'm back to 100% recommending MPT!

Out of curiosity (because I'm seriously considering an MPT tune), what is the "KAM reset" and the "transmission adaptation reset"? Are those features in the tuner itself? Or are those things that are possible to do without a tune?

KAM is the "keep alive module' basically the part of the PCM that stores learned engine adaptations (fuel trims etc). I'm sure there are ways to reset by a combination of unplugging the battery/something, but I just used an Autel pro scan tool, and performed the operations from there. The tuner cannot perform those actions, but maybe forscan can?

i have had mpt for almost 2 years myself, i have even bought 5 star tuning to see if it would be better but after running 0 to 60 and qaurter mile test i went back to mpt on e50 map, i have done 12.7 @108 qaurter mile on the draggy and 4.4 to 60 on e50 mpt on 35s mud toyos. have spanked countless bmws, mercedez, sti , mustangs etc cars ,to see their look on their face is priceless lol.
