It's amazing the gains the Ecoboost engines get with a tune. I've been told to not even spend the dough for the 6.2, the gains are nothing like the v6

My uncle owns a Turbo Performance shop in Miami and when I texted him a picture 2 weeks ago he said: "those can hold big power" and "mustangs can make 800hp + on stock tranny" and lastly: "if they had that truck in a longer bed I'd have one"

The CAI makes the turbos sounds better too. You can hear them spool up. Make sure you let MPT know what intake you will be getting. I believe they can modify the mapping of the tune based on increased airflows. They asked me specifically what intake I had and said they would modify accordingly.

@DarthKickA55 do you know if you can add/change a setting to power the upfitters when the security system goes off? It'd be great to blast potential wheel/light thieves with 50k lumens.

No idea I just started learning. There is a mega thread on the F150 forums that i also got some info from - maybe check there too?

Looking into tunes for after my CAI arrives (scheduled for Thursday) but having a hard time deciding on which one. I have to do more research but looking at:
(in no particular order)
MPT
5 Star
Cobb

From all my research I'd say Goosetuned here on FRF, JDM, Cobb are your best bets for not only a great tune but also great customer service after the sale which is just as important if not more so than the tune itself IMHO.

Best of luck with your tune.

Having owned my truck less than two weeks, there were a couple of features that my last Ford products had that my Raptor did not. Hard to imagine when spending much more for my Raptor than my past 2 Explorers that it would not have some of the more simple features that were standard with both of those.

The first and (for me) the derpiest missing feature: Auto-Fold mirrors (aka Lincoln Style) - why on such a wide vehicle would this not be an option in the DIC?

A close second: The Auto Start/Stop feature - HATE IT - granted pushing the button was not that difficult but annoying.

For the bronze medal: The Double Horn Honk - had this on my other Ford's but man it is annoying - NO MORE! its gone now and I couldn't be happier.

I also changed the DRL's to run the LED's, added Transmission Temp above gauge, changed the windows to work with the key fob, and disabled the "doo-doo-doo" sound when starting up.

I wanted to thank the collective for the invaluable information not just on this endeavor but also all the other knowledge provided. It only took a few searches to find the information I needed and give me the confidence to get it done.

THANKS FRF!

Which scan did you order/use?

My truck has the folding mirrors, I agree it’s a nice feature. Lower left button on mirror adjustment. Not sure if it came with 802 package.

Can someone please point me to the Forscan thread? I know there is on with all sorts of info including a google doc but I can't find it now.

Thanks in advance.
