Not really sure what to say.... But, I just got my first Raptor... Bought a 2020 during the pandemic of the century....Super happy with the vehicle and wanted one for a while now, but had to make a stop and pick up a diesel F-250 for a little bit first... I am not a wrench guy... Or at least, I should not be.. But, I am a detail fan and know a fair amount about the detail world..

I should also add that this is an 802A and i put in a bed rug and Retrax and despite my lack of mechanical capability, the Retrax is still in the truck after a long road trip:)

I also added Ceramic Pro Gold and tinted the windows. The truck has to sit outside:-( The garage did not like my factory antenna and is pretty cramped.

Truck looks very nice. More pics so they don’t think that’s a Prius!

Congrats and welcome to the club. Enjoy it!

Awesome truck. Who did your ceramic coating? I’m in FL as well. Sun is a beast.

Thanks... Much appreciated. You are not kidding... The sun here is strong...

I had it done by a Window Tint company in Longwood. If you google Ceramic Pro Orlando, you will pull that address/company. I think they have a DBA for their Window Tinting business and one for Ceramic Pro Orlando. When I was there, they were coating a couple pasta rockets, so I felt good about leaving the truck there. They did an excellent job on the prep and the coating. They also did my wife's X5 that was not new and required some additional paint prep. The thing with ceramic coatings is that the paint prep before the coating is crucial because you are locking it in, defects and all, so a good detail guy at the shop is paramount. I do a lot of my own detailing and would consider myself a little beyond a novice when it comes to polishing out scratches, touch-ups, etc. and the guy that did my truck and her car, beat me, so I was impressed. I also heard the Ceramic Pro in Tampa is awesome as well.

On that note, we just took a long road trip to Colorado to see our daughter. COVID and all, did not want to fly. I had a cement truck that either just left a gravel pit or had gravel all over the side of his truck pelt the living bejesus out of my track getting on the freeway (and every other car). Of course, It took great restraint to not lose my cool, but he did just get on from an area that I thought was protesting.... Anyway, I had rocks nailing my windshield at highway speed and bouncing off the front of the truck. Thought for sure I would have a cracked windshield once I cleaned the bugs off and expected a bunch of paint chips.... Not a single chip, and my windshield was totally fine.... I literally could not believe it. Ceramic is not advertised to take that kind of beating and protect your car from it, but it did mine.

If you get it done. I highly recommend just parking the truck for the first week at least, if not two. When the ceramic is new, it is still somewhat soft. Think of having multiple layers of clear coat sprayed on your truck. So, if you have to wash it in the first week or two, do so very gently, and I recommend using a blower to dry the vehicle. DO NOT towel dry the vehicle when the ceramic is new. Using a blower will literally blow the water right off of it because of the nano particles. If you do need to use a towel for something, I recommend the waffle weave towels that chemical guys sell. They are expensive, but are well worth it.

I could write a book on all of this and the PPF that I also had put on my wife's car. So, let me know if you have any questions.
