Having owned my truck less than two weeks, there were a couple of features that my last Ford products had that my Raptor did not. Hard to imagine when spending much more for my Raptor than my past 2 Explorers that it would not have some of the more simple features that were standard with both of those.

The first and (for me) the derpiest missing feature: Auto-Fold mirrors (aka Lincoln Style) - why on such a wide vehicle would this not be an option in the DIC?

A close second: The Auto Start/Stop feature - HATE IT - granted pushing the button was not that difficult but annoying.

For the bronze medal: The Double Horn Honk - had this on my other Ford's but man it is annoying - NO MORE! its gone now and I couldn't be happier.

I also changed the DRL's to run the LED's, added Transmission Temp above gauge, changed the windows to work with the key fob, and disabled the "doo-doo-doo" sound when starting up.

I wanted to thank the collective for the invaluable information not just on this endeavor but also all the other knowledge provided. It only took a few searches to find the information I needed and give me the confidence to get it done.

THANKS FRF!

Congrats! I did my forescan within the first few weeks of ownership too. The one that truly impressed me was the seat/steeringwheel climate controls on the touchscreen. It is so cool that they integrate perfectly, so i can click the screen to turn on seat vent, and the button below the radio reflects that choice. I originally assumed it would be a fake placeholder picture, but it actually works.

I did pretty similar to you, and added secure idle and auto relock.

have you thought about disabling engine noises? I wanted to wait to get use to how it sounds with it, before I listened for the change without

So mine (2020) already had secure idle enabled so I did not make any changes there. I may possibly add the heated seats to the Climate menu, but I primarily use Android Auto and hardly ever use the Ford screens so the physical buttons are what I use. May do it for the rare time I don't have my phone just because it looks good.

Honestly, I wasn't sure that I could make it work but the changes above were hard to live without. I plan on diving deeper into it now that I have my original backed up. I may mess around with the fake engine noises but probably won't permanently change, I don't mind the sound (except its not a throaty V8 but...ehh.)

I forscan the night my truck hit the garage. Now just get an MPT tuner.
Looking into tunes for after my CAI arrives (scheduled for Thursday) but having a hard time deciding on which one. I have to do more research but looking at:
(in no particular order)
MPT
5 Star
Cobb

I recommend them in following order:
MPT
Cobb
5 Star

MPT gives you the most bang for your buck with the 93 PRX and it includes the transmission tuning. (I specifically asked for "smooth shifting" and it is awesome in Normal Mode to the point that I rarely even use Sport Mode) I have been running my 93 PRX non-stop for more than 2 years with zero issues. Cobb is your second choice, but it will cost you more for the transmission tunes and you will see slightly less gains. 5 Star has never gotten their act together with the Gen 2s. I had their tunes on my Gen 1 and they were great, but others have reported dismal results on their Gen 2 trucks. After reading several 5-Star threads, I did not even bother calling them.

Just so you are aware, CAIs and aftermarket exhaust are purely for sound on the Gen 2s. The gains are so minimal, they are not even worth mentioning to your buddies. ;)

Thanks @TXRaptor and @kpecks - looking at MPT site now, thanks for the 411. A lot of searching to do...

Definitely not going to do an exhaust - I don't mind the sound now and little to no gains made that decision easy for me.
I did order a SPD CAI only because the stock airbox seems restrictive and I like the look of a CAI personally.

@TXRaptor @kpecks - pulled the trigger on the MPT tune this morning. MPT recommended: 93PRX, 91 Tow, and the Any octane tune so that is what I went with. Thanks for the advice, will let you know how it does sometime next week.

It's amazing the gains the Ecoboost engines get with a tune. I've been told to not even spend the dough for the 6.2, the gains are nothing like the v6
