One and ONLY gas mileage thread please

I average 12.4 for the lifetime of the vehicle (113k miles so far)
Gained MPG swapping from TOYO 35 to BFG 37's. I try to run nothing but Shell 93, it doesn't seem to like other brands.

For reference my naturally aspirated 2013 averaged 11.7 over 30,000...lol

they like air and octane

Just did a round trip of roughly 800 miles OKC to San Antonio, 2014 Raptor 150k miles on original spark plugs, 15.1 mpg down and 15.4 combined there and back. This was all interstate 35 at 70 to 75 mph, 91 octane pure gas down, 87 with 10% ethanol for the trip home, both days temps were around 100 degrees with high humidity.

Getting 11.4 MPG on the dashboard, with the tune corrected for tire size.

When all I had were the 37" tires, but no supercharger, no tune, and no extra weight I was getting about 14.5 mpg corrected for tires. It is a bit more MPG drop than I expected.

Lately my mileage has increased dramatically. I'm getting one month per gallon due to the shutdown.

Gen 1 6.2l, and I was getting 14ish and my tensioner pulley went out. Upon replacing it with an autozone 24 dollar special im now finally back up to the higher 15ishes! It's been years so a new belt and tension pulley might be in order if your higher on the mileage.

I'm at 11.2 MPG for the last 30,000 miles. I'm running 4.88 gears with Toyo M/T 35x12.5 tires (The speedo has be correct by a 5 Star 93 octane tune). In the city I get 9-10; and on the highway I just recently got 14.5 MPG up to NC from Tampa Florida and 14.5 MPG back. That was at 72 MPH on the highway but the whole trip back I averaged ~69 MPH. If I jump up to 75 MPH my mpg tanks - falling to ~12.5 And by the time I hit 80 it's around 11 or worse. 63-64 seems to be the sweet spot, where I get 15-15.5 MPG. Interestingly my MPG seemed to improve maybe 1 mpg after switching to the Toyo M/Ts from Nitro M/Ts of the same size

TRIP 2:
I have (had) 180,584.4k miles on my raptor (this was about 500 miles outside of Houston and at my 1st major gas up.)
I drove speed limit + 5mph Cruise Control. (Unless it was a construction zone or area of heavy traffic, which was rare)
I would only use 87

IF YOU'RE CURIOUS:
In the state of Texas, filling up from 37 mi to E it cost me about 65 bucks ... I think the price was 1.38 or something like that. I still have the receipt, just need to find it. But I'm pretty sure it is about as much. I'll look for it If you really want to see it. In Cali I filled up, at most I think was 103 or so. I didn't drive around in my truck while in Cali ... I used my brothers car hehe

As I pulled into this gas station, my MPG was at 15.0 AVG MPG.
I will say, that on the high side I got between 14.5 - 15. On the low side around 12.5 - 13.5
And I was sort of ******** bricks at this point because I was kind of out in the cuts, it was more like a Highway I was on, and not an Interstate.

I would be able to drive around 9 Hrs till my MPG would get to 50 miles remaining.

I did take a photo of my cluster as I pulled in to the pump. Soon as I figure out how to add the photo I will do so.

Other Things:
I purchased my truck used, it had 166k miles on it. The previous owner didn't really take care of it ... felt like the truck was totally disrespected.

The truck had a K & N CAI ... but I had to order replacement parts to get it back up to the way it was supposed to be.

I did the following so far:
new shocks and struts
new spark plugs
new tires
Oil Separator (this thing is nuts! I'm glad I got this.)
Changed fluids (oil, coolant, steering, tranny, brake)
Brakes (rotors and pads)

The tires & Oil Separator I did not add till recently (Less than a month ago), I made both trips on the old tires. I will be having another trip in October. If there is anything you would like me to keep note of let me know. Or a fuel additive that you want me to try out, I'm down.

Also, I didn't use AC most of the time. I'm from Cali and I like having my windows down and my arm out =)
I did however, use the AC when going through Arizona ... it hit 117 on my way to Cali. I didn't notice much of a MPG dip if any.


I will say that I really enjoyed the drive in my truck ... There is so much space, and its very comfy. I did sleep in NM at a WELL lit truck stop. I slept like a baby on the back seats!

Made the trip to San Antonio again to take the grand kids home. Weather was different, windy with scattered showers, temps in mid 90's. Going down only got 14.8 bucking a head wind all the way, 15.8 on the return trip the next day with a bit of a tail wind. 87 octane fuel.

I have a bone stock 2013 raptor with 18k miles. Drove from Mississippi to Oregon (~2400 miles) and averaged 16.5 mpg. It was the delivery drive home so I was reeeeal soft with her.
