I'm looking at getting this grease off Amazon but I'm trying to decide if I can get away with the small 0.5 oz tube for $19 or if I should get the better value of the 2.0 oz tube for $42. I'll use on my truck and probably for my wife's '16 Expedition's moon roof. Thanks

We use a ton of krytox at work and it spreads very well. If you can see residue, you’ve applied too much. Which surfaces need to get covered?

I have the .05 for the sunroof. It’s plenty for at least 5 years of 2 times a year application. In fact, I bought it for my 18 raptor and used it 2 time and used it once on my 19. That shit gets everywhere so keep micro fibers handy. I mean EVERYWHERE.

According to the TSB I'll want to spread it on the rubber weather stripping around the edge of the glass panoramic roof panels as well as the sheet metal panels where the glass roof panels contact it.

this is an old TSB. A new one is out with an updated part list. The new TSB has a different lube to use on the strips than the one in the tube.

This is what to use per the new TSB

Thanks for the info. Now that I'm looking at it, I have the newer one printed but was going off of old links for the grease and TSB. I'll order the grease from the updated TSB. Kinda negates my question as to which size tube I should get.

Does anyone have the service procedure that goes along with the new lube? Google isn't turning it up.

Perfect timing. Im not a Raptor owner, but I have a 2016 F150 that had a leaky moonroof. The entire moonroof assembly was replace under warranty, but I'm now off warranty. My current issue is a roof that doesn't close. I was thinking it needed to be lubricated as the roof will attempt to close but automatically reverse a couple of times before it closes. I haven't applied any lube since the roof was replaced. The tilt feature works with no issue.

Do you guys think this TSB would help my issue. I'll order the appropriate grease.

Thanks in advance.
