Back in the day (the GEN1 days) there were a handful of guys running the Rogue setup. Rogue has since fell off the map but their old stuff looked to perform pretty well and knowing RPG I'm sure they stepped it up even higher.

If you feel like reading, there is a lot info in this thread

And just because it's still an awesome video. Rogue's cantilever kit in action

Yea I have seen this video and to be honest I liked it although people that tried the kit didn’t like it.But I am pretty sure RPG will put a great kit.
I’ll just be waiting for someone to install it and go ahead. With it I’d proven good.

Interesting, so I wonder if new bedsides are required or if the extra 4” is droop travel

No new bedsides are necessary with 35" or 37" tires. Yes you will need new bedsides with 39" tires.

You will need Deaver leafs.

We have had a kit being tested for 8 months... BOLT kit up front and Cantilever kit in the rear.. Its a nice balance... Being that we have not produced a production cantilever kit in the past, we wanted to determine life of parts. All of our components are abused prior to selling to our customers.

Can you keep the stock tail pipes? I noticed the shop truck was dumped at the muffler.
You will need to dump the exhaust prior to the rear axle. On one of our test vehicles, we ran it out the side to reduce drone / noise.

I am just in the love with this setup.

But I do not have any experience with cantilever setup. I have asked few people about the cantilever in general and no one have advised me to go with this setup due to shocks sitting horizontally which results other parts on the truck getting the impact and stress before it transfers to the shocks which at the end dose not work right with the trucks front end.
I had a doubt when I heard this and wanted to get some info on this setup before pulling the trigger.

GREAT QUESTION.
We have not seen any wear on "Rod Guides" due to the weight of the shocks being mounted horizontally. no leaking seals. Yes there are more moving parts, but the shocks are now mounted up high and tight to reduce rock chips and dents.

One of the biggest design requirements of this kit was to keep the installation very simple. On the other kits, you will have to cut out all of the cross bracing on the frame. Our kit 100% bolts onto the frame. you will need to weld on link mounts to the rear axle housing.

IF you want, you can keep the stock shock mounts.. So you can return to stock when you sell the truck.

We quote $1500 for install of Cantilever, Leafs, Bumps and brake lines. This kit is intended for the garage mechanic to be able to install it.

So I had a Rogue set up on my Gen 1. Rogue recommended spring under leafs for all their cantilever kits. But it looks like you all went with spring over leafs. Can you elaborate on this decision?

I carry 600-700 lbs in my rear, so I run HD Deavers. Given that you all went with a spring over leaf, then I shouldn’t have a problem with the weight? I am extremely interested in this for my Gen 2. If we need to, we can talk on the phone. I have already been hounding @Rick@FreedomMotorsports about this set up :)

@Rednose I don’t know if anyone that never loved their Rogue suspension and how they performed. Rogue nailed it on the design and function of those kits. Rogue went out of business because of money and lack of customer service—it wasn’t because their stuff didn’t perform.

Keep your Deaver HD leafs and the weight in the bed. that will for sure soften up the rear ride.

Feel Free to give us a call but I would keep in touch with Rick at Freedom. He is VERY knowledgeable.

We ran a few trucks with undersprung configurations and found some pretty challenging issues.
1. The Leafs and Cradles are very close to the ground and have a tendency of getting smashed up being only a few inches from the ground. Compress the tire a few inches and your leafs are dragging on the dirt.
2. Axle wrap becomes really bad with an undersprung.. Being that your leaf spring is in the way of a "Traction Bar kit" your stuck with the problem. the more power that you have, the more axle wrap.

The Rogue kit requires the installer to cut out all of the cross members in the frame behind the rear axle. This is A LOT OF WORK. We worked really hard to make the installation process as simple as possible.
