I picked up my 2014 raptor a few weeks ago and the passenger side headlight looks to have had clear coat fail and had a lot of spider cracks around it. I was originally going to sand and reclear them but thought about getting the Morimoto LED lights instead. They say that they are plug and play for the halogen headlights, are the plug different for the two or is there a harness to change over to the Halogen plug? Thanks.

Question answered on another thread from a distributor.

They are different plugs, but the Morimoto headlights come with the adapter for both types of headlights.

Indeed they do. Everything is plug and play. Just installed them on my 2013 about a week ago.
How does the quality seem? Have you had a chance to use them much at night? Was hoping that the light pattern didn't bounce around when hitting bumps and all that.

They seem like they are a very well built, quality item.
I like the appearance, daytime driving lights, sequential turn signals, and they fit well.

Have not had much opportunity to use them at night yet. It's light here from around 5am to 10pm this time of year.
They seem bright, even around dusk; but according to the one comparison I've seen in another thread here, the stock HID's had a little more light output. Not sure how much that means to me yet. I guess I'd be more concerned with real world results and how they compare going down the road, or off-road. Might have to take a late night cruise this weekend.

Would love to hear what you think of them with some night use.

I think the comparison you saw was the morimotos vs retofits. The morimotos are way brighter than stock

It was this one: https://easternshoreretros.com/blog...oto-xb-2009-2014-f150-light-output-comparison

Looking at it again, you're right, the XB's are bit brighter on low. If you add the low and high together, then they do surpass the OEM highs as well, but idk if that is a true measurement of the total lux on high.

I'll need to play with my adjustments some before I form an opinion of them, aside from the appearance. I wasn't overly impressed last night, but a lot of that probably comes from being used to the 4 mini H1's my 04 has.

Out of the box the adjustment is horrid. Mine were all over the place. Left low was low and high was at the sky. Right low was good but high was low lol

Do the led projectors bounce when going over bumps? I have had HID projectors that seem to move a good bit when hitting bumps in the road with previous vehicles and it would drive me insane.
