AC electrical failure

Took my 2017 raptor out to glamis and a wiring harness under the spare tire melted and shorted out on the frame which caused all the dash controls to stop working, as well as the rear brake lights... anyone know how that could have happened?

What caused it to melt? Is there any sign of rubbing on the harness?

The spare tire rubbed the harness which caused the wires to get exposed where they melt together In the hot sand and grounded on the frame.... I think
