2 antennas that close may cause issues with your 2way equipment as well, especially if your using a 110 watt mobile on 1 side.

It’s probably fine for hammies and cb’s but there is no way I would recommend that for a emergency services vehicles.

There is nothing wrong with drill a 3/4” hole......
