Agreed on that point. I've got minimal issues right now and don't really care to start over again at this point. I'll wait until either a well test, less issue prone version is released, or the android version won't support the apps I want to use. Plus I have the Sergey firmware upgrades going and I don't want to lose those either.

mine also hangs at times when going from reverse back to drive.... it’ll get stuck in the backup mode and requires a push button reset to correct. Had no issues with the last 8.1

Honestly... get the Frimware. The only "real" issue that I've had since I swapped is skip track on initial start up when using the SWC. Skip track will kick on SYNC radio for the 1st skip track. So when I start up the unit I swap straight to console and turn it off. Than I go back to whatever I was using.

Side note, have you or anyone else in here seen a wire labled KEY1? If someone could take a pick or tell me what plug it's on I would greatly appreciate it!

Here is his email address. He sends you a link for all the stuff via email but the howto videos are all on FB. The instructions he provides should be enough though.

I don't know who he is but his firmware is legit and he actually provides you good support (if you are awake at the same time). If not it's just an email chain. He has a pretty good following on the FB page so which I would highly recommend just cruising through it to check out what other people say and what themes he has available. I think you can at least look at the page without joining FB.
