While it maybe doable by the book. This is a performance vehicle and can it truly be certified as good as new on the frame there after the repair? Maybe if it was a bolt on section or an everyday mom and pop plain Jane vanilla F-150. I’d be Leary.

Glad you finally found out and know the direction you must go. Air is cleared!

Just heard from the adjuster, guess I have to get a lawyer, they want to hack the frame up and weld on some new shit, eff that.

told him fine for a Focus, but this is a Baja truck that gets treated as such, I don't trust that there is not more unseen damage and that the "welding" would be done right.

Basically I was willing to accept a frame, but I wont do a hack up job, dont care if ford sell the parts or not.

As I posted earlier, the entire front end of the frame is fully replaceable. If it wasn't, Ford wouldn't sell the front frame section as an assembly and publish the procedure to replace it in the Workshop Manual.

As long as it's a reputable body shop with the proper equipment, all they need to do (to the frame) is grind off the front frame welds and weld in the new section. From the factory, the front section is welded in. It's not like they need to cut the frame in half and weld it; the weld joint already exists.

I'm not saying I wouldn't feel the same way you do at this point, just trying to explain that if it's repaired properly per the factory procedure it should not be a concern.

You took it off road and bent it. I have a hard time seeing where the insurance company should cover any of it. Should that guy who sent his Raptor 90 feet and totaled it be covered? You screwed up and now you want to have someone else pay for your mistake, while you pay nothing. You have my sympathy for damaging your ride. Whining and bitching because you don't get a brand-new truck? Grow up.

I realize it's my fault, no dispute there, but I need to grow up because I want a 90k truck to be fixed correctly, and I assure you it isn't free. Do you get free insurance? If so please tell me how you pull that off...

Well, next time, buy a regular poverty Raptor, maybe your drunk bumps can hit the "totaled" threshold a little easier. ;) I do feel bad for you, but the insurance policy is doing it's job, in my opinion. It's probably all in your contract.
Maybe you can take pics along the repair process and provide them to the next buyer, to ease their mind a little. It's not like it will have a branded title.

Meh, it may as well have a branded title, hell id be better off, then it would be valued appropriately after I bought it back...

Nobody wants a vehicle with frame damage. Lots of stigma, ****** cars driving down the road all sideways...

Is what it is, sorry if im bitching too much, had a long week, had to work over 40 hours when I usually work like 15 and then this to top it all off.

Im not some millionaire, this thing cost more than my first house, which my wife loves to remind me of. so, I get it from all angles, then here too...

Thought you guys were my friends...
