I have a 2020 with turbosmart bov and just installed k&n cai. Everything was fine until day 2. Truck runs great, just shows service engine light. I dropped it off a dealer this morning , they called and said its the cai and they will flash the computer to get it off but that's all they can do because its aftermarket. So after reading a ton of post about it. I tried to narrow the fix down but want to know what you guys think I should do. I looked for my factory silencer or what ever that fan looking thing is inside the factory intake. well my 2020 didn't have it. I also disconnected battery for a short period to see if that helped it didn't. So once it gets back from the dealer what do you guys think I should try next if it comes back on? I know some will say put stock back on, and I will if there is no solution. thanks for the input!

I would contact the CAI manufacturer. They sold you the part, they should be responsible if it doesn’t function correctly.

I’ve actually been to K&N’s headquarters in Riverside CA and they were very friendly and helpful; hopefully they’ll have a solution for you.

If you’re worried about warranty then you should’ve never put it on the truck. Keep it all stock or say hell with it and start changing it all up. Can’t have both.

I believe there are air flow sensors in the intake tube and whenever you start making changes that affect the air flow then that could potentially cause codes if it falls outside of its parameters.

I had to change out a supplied air sensor when I installed a UPR full system catch can and I've never got any codes after 16,000 miles.

the Turbo smart blow off valve is a mechanical valve. The stock valve that you took off is electrical, Which means the air sensors in the truck determine when to relieve pressure so what you have to do so you don't get a check engine light is used The Terminator diode that came with the valve and then you should be fine.
