And is replacing it completely.

I think it's a bit much for a tiny chip. But the manager didn't trust anyplace to repair it.

good customer service as usual.

What I also didn't like was they jacked up the front with two jacks from the lower control arms.

Do I think the truck is fine, yeah. But I still don't like it not being jacked up from the designated points on the frame.

Great customer service! I highly recommend them to anyone as they price match rims and or tires. I’ve been going to them for years. They have scuffed up two aftermarket rims before on two different cars and replace the rim for free in addition to letting me keep the scuffed rim!

Discount Tire chipped the hell out of the clear coat on some otherwise perfect factory wheels a couple years back. They store manager didn't even apologize. They sent me off to make a claim with some internal loss department that ultimately only paid out $500 as a "goodwill gesture". :(

There are 2 causes of damaged wheels:

1. Inexperienced techs
2. Old/worn out equipment.

Hunter's new tire changers solve them both. If you go to a tire shop or dealer and the equipment has a display screen that looks like something from a 70's arcade game (or no display at all), don't risk it. Find a shop with modern equipment.

Why are we still going to a place with "Discount" in the name even when everyone is responding they have repeaditly scratched their rims? Does Discount Tire use Hunter machines?

Discount varies from store to store. Most of them have treated me well, but one wasn't up to par.

Sounds like dealerships; most likely they're franchises. Hence why their levels of equipment and service can vary widely between stores.

Hunter’s website will show you all of the locations in your area with a road force machine, it’s a shame they don’t do it for the revolution.

Because they have the best service.
Because they are close to my house.
Because this is the first issue in probably 10 different sets of tires over 20 years.
Because they have fixed countless tires with nails in them for free.

And lastly. Because they ****** up once, and made it right.

Can't complain overall

going against my style I called corporate instead of going back right to the manager. They told the manager I was on my way.

Typically i'd just go right to him, it's the first time I have complained about any type of service for a while. He made it right.
