Yes mine’s a ‘19 with the B&O. I looked into a harness to make it simple and not have to cut wires, but could not easily locate anything. So I may just cut, soldier and heat shrink and be done with it.

I bought a 32oz bag which is probably way more than I need but will see of basic Polyfil. I’m just going to lightly stuff the enclosure and go from there. This is what I have done in the past in similar situations. I may adjust later on and tune it once it’s done and if things sound worthy enough to play with further. I know it’s going to hit harder with this much more highly upgraded woofer and this much more power. The Audio Control processor should not allow bass roll off either.

The only true thing I am yet to prove is will I be happy with a single 8” sub. For the price, simplicity of the upgrade and keeping a stock sized enclosure behind the seat. I am willing to compromise some.

Understood. Really hoping your install goes smooth and the result is worth it, looking forward to your feedback. Hate the idea of cutting/splicing and then having wire issues down the road or not liking the result, wish there was adapter harnesses available. Its got me thinking of adding an underseat box vs nust replacing/upgrading stock. I am car audio stupid but it seems like finding a way to tap the input signal to the BO amp (which has to be done anyway right?) And using that new signal thru the LC2i to a separate underseat amp/box wouldn't give more result.

I planned on using a single 10” under the seat. JL Audio makes a nice one. This 8” upgrade won’t equal the 10, bit of it makes for a decent upgrade I will stay with it and keep it simple and tucked away.

I was looking at and may still upgrade the whole system and utilize the Zen processor. I’d switch to a 5 channel amp and could drop the LC2i then. Many have done this along with new speakers all around. If the little 8” upgrade is that decent, I may go simple and just upgrade the rest of the speakers and keep the B&O amp for now.

Did you have an idea of where you were you were going to pull the signal from for the LC2i? Before the amp or after?

Are you going to use the Kicker sub or a different one?

This is the sub I will use in the factory sub enclosure. I will replace the Ford woofer.

Did you get the new sub installed? If so, hows the sound, worth the upgrade?

Not yet. That AC leak pushed me off and then it rained the entire last weekend. I hope to get maybe the amp install started tomorrow.

That would be a modest upgrade honestly. If you haven't heard of a real under the seat enclosure with better subs before then perhaps I can understand not knowing the difference. I know that sub and can tell you a full sized 6.5" sub in a ported box would sound and perform better. I'm not trying to pick a fight just clarifying some things so people are more aware of what to expect. If you had better subs under the seat in the proper enclosure you would **** off all your neighbors if you wanted to. I absolutely can tell you they won't play nearly the full frequency range compared to a proper setup. If it works for you that's great. Again, I'm just stating this so people are aware of what to expect if following your setup. No hard feelings I hope. That is not my intention at all.
