Anyone with the wiper de-icers notice the passenger side wiper blade doesn’t sit on top of the lines? I haven’t had my truck over winter yet but wouldn’t it defeat the purpose?

I noticed my driver side wiper is on the lines but the passenger side isn’t.

Mine are the same, confirmed it with other raptors on the lot. Also the wipers are keyed so you cant rotate them down, the wiper de-icers suck.

You can probably remove it from the spindle and adjust it so it sits where you want, eh?

I see someone with better info from me chimed in already. I didn't know they were keyed. I drive around town and up the mountain skiing quite a bit and haven't had any problem with the wipers icing up.

WTF! There’s defrosters for the wipers. I just went to look and I don’t have any on my 18. At least I don’t see any.

To align the wiper arms to the spindle, there’s a locating key. Sometimes they fall out. I found one on the trim piece.

The key can fall out you say??? If thats the case then can you reinstall the wiper arm without the key and have it stay properly mounted???

Ive only had my Raptor since January but my wipers freeze over completely if I dont lift them when I park. If there is any residual ice left the de-icers dont put a dent in the accumulated ice in 45 minutes of driving with the defrosters on. This is even after a 10 minute remote start.

Never had this issue with either of my previous Subarus, the wipers sit directly on the de-icers.

The key is essential to align the arm to the shaft. The arms have a lever that release the arm from the spindle. There’s a few videos out there that show the process.

My 2019 was the same way at delivery. I pulled the release tab, removed the wiper and rotated it down and snapped it back on. Sits fine now over the heater and level with the drivers wiper.

I took the dealers word that the keys were not removable, rotated the wipers down and problem solved!!! Not that Ive ever had an issue with wipers and snow before but the only reason I can see the key being needed is because the splines on the wiper arms arent strong enough and may strip when pushing snow.

I also found the key on the trim when I first got it and threw it in the console.

I just popped my DS arm and gonna put the key back in.

Dammit!!!! I don’t think the 18s cane with the defroster.
