I bought the driver's side rear passenger seat release from Seven Sparta (below).

Even though it works well, you still have to fumble for the strap and hope it doesn't fall down behind the seat. To remedy this, I took a small cable, put a loop on one end and a hook on the other. I used some of the nylon sheathing that comes with the LED light wiring to cover the cable. I removed the headrest and slipped the loop under the left side post. I hooked the other end to the release. Now, the cable is always there and easy to access.

If the strap had been just a little longer, I could have slipped the loop on the strap through the headrest post.

Has anyone come up with reason to get behind the seat? I have the Builtright release installed but there's no room to hide/store anything other than a I Shoot Rioters sign

I store a ton of misc stuff back there. Snow brush/ice scraper, jumper cables, tool roll, bag of ratchet straps, Tyger shovel, tire plug kit, snatch strap and soft shackles, etc. I want to see if some MaxTrax will fit back there...but I don't own any yet.

Sure...I fit a ton of stuff, in addition to the above I have a full size long farm jack back there. I did my own mod to open the latch. I drilled a small hole on the pin and ran a split ring on it. Then I tied a paracord to the ring and loop tied to the head rest stem. Easy to open and full access.

I’m guessing that those with a lot of things stored behind the seat don’t have the 802a package. With that package there are only a few oddly shaped small areas to tuck a few small things in.
