I might be getting carried away with matching my color scheme. Kinda sorta like your wife waiting to use a purse until she finds the right color heels, I digress.

Anyway, I’m thinking about painting my bead lock wheels olive drab to color match my Army desert digital camo wrap. ¿What do ya think? All opinions will be accepted.

I set them side by side for comparison. Current cast wheels (KO2s) with matching wrap, original black BLs, and Camo painted BL wheels. Also, hopefully I will find true BL rings and add KO3s so these will be my off road/winter set.

Not so sure about this whole "gloss camo" thing. The lusterless olive drab doesn't match the camo of the rest of the truck at all. Go black with digital rings.

I agree with @B E N

The matte of the OD kinda clashes with the digital camo.

Perhaps you can go with black barrels and OD rings. I would put a satin gloss over the OD to blend with the wrap.

I Plastidipped one of my rings as a trial in OD. Here’s how it turned out:

Yes, I was concerned about the wrap not being OD or a matte finish and somewhat glossy to match the original paint. If I do it again I going with a satin or matte wrap. I didn’t think of spraying a finish coating on the wheels since this was a test. Considering to powder coat the wheels if I like the final color scheme. In the meantime I will try a satin clear coat to help protect the paint a bit from scratches and debris hitting them. I wasn’t planning on using the beauty rings, but if I don’t find a true bead lock rings soon, I was thinking a color match as close to the bumper and fender guards in a satin finish also.
