Why does everyone hate the B&O stereo?

This thread is way too long for what it is about.....

An automobile is a terrible stage for sound perfection. The BO system (yes I get the irony) sounds just fine. Most of us are running around with .mp3 at 128kbps. Beefing up the sound system is the equivalent of an 80 year old women getting a boob job.

Right? Probably using Bluetooth to listen to compressed audio and then complaining it doesn't sound good. lol

I feel the B&O system is just barely good enough for me to not bother upgrading it. It's not great, especially with a name like B&O which are known for pretty high end stuff, but it's not utter trash either. I've already blown the passenger door speaker once (and I don't play my music very loud at all) which was replaced under warranty. If one blows outside my warranty period, i'll probably upgrade all of them to something a bit better if I can find something that's a direct replacement and not require additional amplification.

I can't hear shit in my raptor over the tires humming, the light bar whistling, the bypasses clicking and the motor banging off the redline.

It'll get worse when the cage is in.

Stereo Intercom and headsets, here I come.

Get an intercom system with the fancy Bose aircraft headsets and you won't give a crap about the B&O system.

Yeah, this system sucks. My music demands to be played at volume 20+ and this system just can't handle it.

Now we're finally getting to a solution. How do we hook this up?

Nobody mentioned anything about the content you're using. Big thank you to Noah @The Car Stereo Company who helped a lot to edemucate me on how to properly burn all my Cd's to a USB with the WAV lossless format. The system sounds tremendously better with the USB as a source. He was a giant help since I had never burned anything, never used a USB for music, and didn't know shit about all this new tech. I still have a box of 8 tracks in my basement!

BO is fine. Is it the best? No

is it better than the Sony in my 2017? Absolutely.

i don’t have the strong urge to rip out the entire system in this one
