Question, outside of heat control does the factory tinted glass offer any UV protection?

That looks great Danny - thank you. I do not mind the front being a little lighter at all - especially if I can get a closer match to the rears - just did not want the fronts darker than the rear windows.

I just walked out and took a look. The front is slightly lighter then the back, at 10ft back you can hardly tell. 1 ft you can tell the back is darker. Also my tint guys said no darker then 35% on the sunroof or it would crack.

I live in South Florida and own a white 2019. Opportunistic crooks are also my concern, so I like my windows dark so that you can't see in from the outside on a sunny day. Unfortunately, I can't remember the percentage of tint used, but I believe it was 20% on top of the rear door windows (on top of factory tint). I went darker on the front door windows, maybe 15% to closely match the rear windows. On the rear, not so dark as the glass was already tinted. On the front, I went with clear, and nothing on the top. (already shaded). My daily heat average in the car dropped by almost 50%. The ceramic tint really works. It cost me a little more than $400. Well worth it, as I'm planning on keeping this truck. Hope that helps..

Is that clear on the windshield optically invisible? I may do this to help beat the Fl sun as well. I like the idea of it. Wouldn’t like a less than perfect view out the front However.

It is clear but slightly acts as if it were polarized glasses. When the sun hits at the right angle, the road, or sky can look slightly green. Only a slight difference.. I didn't notice it after my 2 day. Still worth the heat reduction and the protection from the sun on my dash.

50% windshield, 15% two front windows and 70% over rears to match 15% front. Happy with outcome. Must in south Florida with how strong the sun is.

Had my front two windows done with 30% this morning (so it still passes inspection). Matches the rear nicely.

I keep reading about ceramic on this thread. But no one has pointed out there are many levels of quality and heat resistance depending on what you get

I got Rayno Phantom S7 cost me $200 to do both front windows.

I just had my 2020 tinted 20% all around, on the rears they did the 20% over the factory and it's plenty dark for me but also the darkest tint I've had.

I’m Curious why you had tint installed over the factory tint, does this help reduce heat and or provide more UV protection? I had Crystaline 3M tint installed on my front windows and windscreen.

I use 3M Crystalline 50% on my front windshield and 3M Crystalline 20% on the front, rear, and back windows. It is like driving in a nice cool cocoon! Crystalline appears dark from outside of the vehicle, but from the inside, you can barely tell I have tint on the windshield. Also, it doesn't effect your visibility at night!

I don't have any pics on my Gen 2, but this is my SUV that has the same specs noted above:

As you can see, the visibility difference between the 50% on the windshield and the 20% on the front window is not much. Oh, and I am in the Sunshine state as well :)

That front windshield looks really clear. Do you notice any optical clarity issues? What if you have on polarized sunglasses? Any banding or checkering? Heat reduction and no loss of vision at night sounds good.
