My 2018 Raptor likely has the cam phaser rattle. I’ve seen pictures of the cab/bed being lifted off to do the repair. I wired in BD backup lights to aux 6 and the trailer hitch plug. I routed the wires down from engine bay and along the passenger side frame. I used rosette clamps screwed into the frame to hold the wires.

My question is...do i need to disconnect the wiring before i drop the truck off?

Thanks a million!

The Workshop Manual does not direct the technician to remove the cab for this repair. However, some technicians prefer to remove the cab since it provides better access.

Start by having the dealer confirm the diagnosis. It it needs cam phaser replacement, ask the Service Advisor if their technicians remove the cab for this repair. If they don't, you're good. If they remove the cab, I'd recommend disconnecting your aftermarket wiring so it doesn't get damaged or improperly re-installed.
