I've always shied away from roof racks because putting stuff up or down from there is a PITA and if anything up there is heavy, it increases the center of gravity, especially offroad. That said, this one looks nice and I like the angled deflector in the front to reduce road noise.

While I agree that for a strictly go fast build a roof rack is the last place you want to throw stuff but I was looking at them at a different angle. If I get one it would be to store less utilized light stuff. IE recovery boards, synthetic recovery equipment and extra lights. Nothing crazy like a RTT or spare tire. Basically stuff you can access from the container it's in without pulling it down. I don't think the Raptors are too tall for that unless you don't have running boards and are below 5'5" lol.

IMO the truck is way too tall for roof racks - racks above the bed OTOH....

I had a an excursion that was 7ft to the top of the roof, plus the rack and RTT. The Raptor height is perfect.

This is awesome news! I was JUST about to click the buy button for the Front Runner. Thanks for putting this info out there!

I have one from RBP and it’s amazing, it allows for the cross bars to be removed when not using so the panoramic sunroof can be fully open and not blocked by bars!! Yes it’s not a great place to load up if your going off reading but it does have many light bar placement options
