Here's an option to add a little pop to your stock running boards. Didn’t like the stainless steel of the product since all the Raptor accents are matte black/dk gray. Took off the top plastic wrapper and using fine grit sand paper (300), I lightly scuffed up the stainless surface of the emblem. I then used Duplicolor Metalcast Anodized Red spray paint which nearly perfectly matches the Ruby Red on my Raptor. Followed directions with 2 light coats then 1 medium coat. A week later I used Duplicolor clearcoat with 3 coats as above, then another week later, did another 3 coats of clear coat as directed on the can. Then simply followed directions for putting on the emblem.

Looks solid, I may have to get some of those down the road. Thanks

Have had it on for a few months now and it looks and feels as if it were built into the running board. Very happy with it. It’s not a location on the running board where you typically will step on to get into the back seat which helps. Fun little unique mod.

I’ll be ordering a set and having it sent to Montana. Be a dear and pick up some Lead Foot paint, paint it up and forward to me. Ty.

If you can find a relatively close match for the lead foot paint, that would look very cool!!! I’d love to see the finished product if you do it! It really isn’t hard to do or particularly expensive for a very unique mod that isn’t “in your face”. Just takes a little time between paint coats to make sure it cures but literally only takes a few minutes to lightly sand and a few minutes to spray paint each coat (and the final clear coat), and then only a few minutes to actually put them on. Would love to see someone else do it in a different color.

Can we say dumb as a stump? Holy shit. Ordering that was an exercise in frustration. Before it allows you to put in your cart it forces you to select your vehicle. Yet it doesn’t have the Raptor in the list. So it says it doesn’t fit the f150.

I chat with the dumbest product specialist this side of the Mississippi who tells me the product doesn’t fit the Raptor. That pictures on website are only for representation purposes. I said unless it comes saying Chevy it will fit. Omg. Friggin ahole moron. And I’m being nice.

I ordered some from cjponyparts.com and it only took 2 days to recieve them. I got them painted and clear coated. I'll probably let them sit for a few days to cure before I install them.
