All,

I installed the ADD tie rods back in January and I have been going back and forth with them on the fitting of the boots. I can guarantee that the boots they sent do not fit my 2012. Please see the attached pictures. They assure me that the boots are the correct size. Can anyone comment on their experience or what you think I should do? I installed the OEM boots but had to cut them to fit and they don't seem to be working properly.

Thanks,

My Rogue tie rod boots were the exact same way for my Gen 1 tie rods. I used a zip tie to sure up the excess material near the steering rack. I ran the same boots like that for a couple of years and never had a problem. If you don't like that, then you can trim an OEM boot and make it fit (like you did). Those are your only two options. So I agree with ADD. What people don't realize is that when you run aftermarket tie rods and don't keep the OEM inner tie rod pieces, then the boot sleeves will never seal like it would on an OEM set up. That's why certain companies like SVC have always kept the factory inner tie rods and only provided the outers—insuring that there are no boot seal issues since the boots and inners are all still OEM. In other words, this is what happens when you run aftermarket parts.
