HammerHead Steering Wheel in CF

I just built one on the site. $2,450 if they supply a new core, $2,045 if I send my wheel and wait for it. That was not getting all the options either. They are really nice and look like they have incredibly high quality.

Wow. They had better be for that amount of scratch.

Current Pricing (6/1/2020)
Like elsewhere cost is related to the quality of the materials used and the time it takes to design and build a superior product.

Raptor with top section CF
Round Raptor factory steering wheel with carbon fiber top section, retaining the factory leather, is 925.

HammerHead (flat-top) with Cf on top retaining factory leather = 1225.

Heated option is available for the 1-piece wheel mod = 225.
Same wheel with new leather/alcantara & stitch add 595
Colored fiber = 110 - 300


Raptor wheel with CF Top & Bottom
Round wheel with factory leather = 1825
Same wheel with new leather/alcantara & stitch = 2195

HammerHead wheel with factory leather as pictured at the beginning of this post = 2100
Same wheel with new leather/alcantara & stitch = 2450

Prices don't include the core wheel, taxes or S&H

Other Options
Racing Stripe = 110
Paddles colored-matched = 190
Fascia colored-matched = 195
Gloss or matte finish n/c
Finger indents on backside of CF = 75
A few years ago, we thought about doing the wheel fascia in carbon.

Some customers send their steering wheel in for the mod, or we can provide a factory wheel on exchange, with deposit.
If we are providing a factory new steering wheel (factory leather) then we need to receive a Raptor wheel in showroom new condition.
If we are building a wheel that will get new leather, than the condition is less critical.

For various reasons, we have not pursued the making of the wheel fascia in CF. Balance is our aesthetic target when designing components for an interior. With the addition of the lower CF part of the Raptor steering wheel, we feel that the addition of a CF fascia, detracts from the visual aesthetics of the wheel. Certainly a personal interpretation.




We feel the appeal of matte finished carbon fiber has been underappreciated by many. Tesla offers only matte CF in their cars, and many performance bikes use the matte version.

There is an appealing industrial look and feel to carbon fiber in its 'raw' state.
Attached are examples of Camaro and Fusion steering wheels. The Tesla rear cup holder, also in matte, is one of the trim parts we made for Tesla.

I was the first one that David @Rau Racing Wheels built a steering wheel for. The quality is excellent and better than the stock wheel. The cost is higher than the others online but worth it if you want a high quality US made product. You definitely will not be let down by their work.
